Here’s a quick (and cute) story about us.

Over 25 years ago, Al and his powerhouse wife, Jan, opened up a restaurant in the heart of Surrey. Their goal was to serve quality fish & chips to their community.

Then two centuries later, it was time for Al and Jan to enjoy their glorious and well-deserved retirement.

* Cue a devilishly charming husband taking his wife to his favourite fish and chips spot. *

Andy and Anu fell in love with the original owners’ food and restaurant. Al & Jan’s recipe was brilliant and the cozy atmosphere was welcoming.

Despite being much younger than Al and Jan, Andy had experience in entrepreneurship and a superhero wife. Being much younger than Al and Jan, Andy and Anu dreamt a bright future and beautiful possibilities on behalf of the original owners.

So in the mid-2010’s, Andy and Anu — together — took over and became the new mom-and-pop owners of Al & Jan’s Fish & Chips.
